Asher Financial Services is seeking an experienced CPA. We are looking for a person with an executive presence and strong tax and accounting skills. Experience in corporate tax, general ledger analysis, financial statement preparation and working with closely held businesses and their owners is a must. Our goal is to assist our clients with organizing their business and personal finances in such a way as to minimize their tax obligations to the fullest extent allowed. We are closely involved with helping our clients comply with all federal, state and local tax filing obligations.

Responsibilities and Descriptions of Duties:

  • Corporate tax expertise, including multistate and international filings
  • Preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations (both C & S), non-profits, estates and trusts
  • Tax planning for individuals, closely held businesses, and corporations
  • Tax research
  • Thorough understanding and experience of tax compliance requirements for all types of entities including corporations (C & S), partnerships, individuals, non-profits, estates and trusts
  • Federal and state government audit representation
  • Supervision of staff in accordance with the firm's policies
  • Good communication and organizational skills

Qualifications: Applicants must possess a BS degree in Accounting from an accredited University and a current CPA License along with at least 5 to 10 years experience in tax. Must possess strong communication and analytical skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to client's needs. Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and written, be technically competent, self-motivated and reliable to anticipate needs of clients, etc. Experience with QuickBooks and ProSeries tax software is a plus. Must be able to use online tax research resources, understand the research process, and utilize tax efficiency consulting techniques.

  • Individual, Corporate, LLC and Partnership accounting and tax preparation.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, ProSeries and Microsoft Office
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • CPA or candidate
  • B.S. in Finance or Accounting
